What tools are compatible with your Rack-a-Tool system?
Our tool racks are compatible with most traditional woodturning tools, including gouges, skews, scrapers, and detail tools. They also work great with Easy Wood Tools — specifically the 3/8" and 1/2" shank sizes only. If you're unsure whether your tools will work with the magnetic top section, try placing a magnet on the shaft: if it sticks, your tool is magnetic and will be held securely.
How do I install the tool rack?
We include full instructions and screws with your order, and you can also view the guide anytime at zkcreations.com/qrat-instructions. You'll only need basic tools (screwdriver or drill) to mount it to your shop wall.
Is the mounting template included?
Yes. Every Quad Rack-a-Tool comes with a 3D-printed mounting template to help you install it accurately. It is a physical part included in the box — no printing required.
Can I move the rack after installation?
Yes — if you unscrew it, you can relocate it. We recommend using the included mounting template again for accurate placement. You can reuse the supplied button-head screws or use similar wood screws if mounting in a new location.
Orders & Shipping
What’s included in my order?
Each product listing specifies exactly what’s included. For example, the Quad Rack-a-Tool includes the tool rack, 3D-printed mounting template, mounting screws, and pre-installed TPU inserts.
When will my order ship?
When ordering the black color, most orders ship within 1–3 business days, as black filament is typically kept in stock. Orders with other colors are made to order and usually ship within 5–7 business days. You'll receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships. If there's ever a delay, we'll contact you directly.
Do you ship internationally?
At the moment, we primarily ship within the United States. For international requests, please contact us to see what we can arrange.
Materials & Custom Options
What are your racks made of?
Our tool racks are 3D printed from high-quality PETG, which offers excellent strength, durability, and heat resistance — perfect for demanding shop environments. We use flexible TPU for the inserts at the bottom of the rack, providing a cushioned fit for your tools. TPU is also used for the roller mechanism that helps secure Easy Wood Tools and similar round-shank tools in place.
Can I request custom colors?
We offer several color options on each product page. If you’re looking for a custom combination not listed, feel free to reach out, and we can see if we can find the color you want.
Do you offer digital STL files?
Not at the moment, but we plan to offer STL files for some of our simpler, easy-to-print products — like our chuck wall mounts and tape measure holders. However, more complex items like the tool racks involve multiple inserts and specific tolerances, making them tricky to print reliably. For that reason, we don’t currently plan to offer STL files for the tool racks.
